At a glance
Essential cookies keep the contact form and navigation working. Analytical cookies tell us which pages readers actually open. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of individual readers.
Control and consent
Browser settings let you block or delete cookies at any time. Where the law requires it, we ask before setting anything that is not essential.

Go to managing cookiesWhat cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They let the site remember information between page loads, such as your preferences or session state, so you are not starting from nothing on every click. Similar technologies, including local storage and pixels, work in comparable ways and are covered by this policy. None of them read files from your device or run programs on it.
The files themselves are usually small and carry a name, a value, and an expiry date. Some last only for the visit and disappear when you close the browser; others persist for a set period so a setting is remembered the next time you read a guide.
Terms used on this page
- Essential cookie
- Needed for a feature you asked for to work, such as sending the contact form.
- Analytical cookie
- Records page visits in aggregate so we can see which topics readers use.
- Session
- The stretch of time you spend reading without closing the browser.
Cookies we use
The list below covers the categories running on checkupindonesia.com. Each entry explains what the category does and what happens if you block it.
Essential
These keep a session together while you fill in the contact form and hold basic navigation state. They do not track you between visits or across other sites. Blocking them through your browser will usually stop the form from submitting cleanly.
Analytical
These record which pages are opened, how long readers stay, and how they move between guides. The figures are reviewed as totals and trends, not as individual profiles. Turning them off leaves the site fully usable.
Advertising
We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of individual readers, and no advertising cookies are set by this site. If that changes, this page will be updated before any such cookie is introduced.
Categories current as of October 2026
Why we use them
Essential cookies allow the contact form and basic navigation to work correctly. Without them, a message could be lost between pages, or a form could look as though it had been sent when it had not.
Analytical cookies give us aggregate information about page usage, and that shapes editorial decisions: which guides need expansion, which sections readers skip, and where a plain-language explanation is missing. The practical difference is simple. With the data, a section on fasting before a blood draw gets rewritten because the numbers show readers leaving early. Without it, we would be updating pages on guesswork about what readers actually need.
These two jobs are the whole reason the site sets cookies. Nothing here is aimed at identifying you as an individual, and no profile is built from your reading.
Cookies are read in the same paper and daylight as the rest of this site.
Third-party cookies
Some features may rely on third-party services, such as hosting or analytics providers, which can set their own cookies when you use the site. A common pattern is a provider that counts visits on our behalf and needs a short-lived file to avoid counting the same reader twice in a row.
What we control
Which providers we work with, and which features on this site are allowed to call them. If a provider is removed, its files stop being set here.
What we do not control
The files themselves and how long each provider keeps them. Those providers operate under their own privacy and cookie policies, and we encourage you to review their documentation if you want detail on their practices.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, usually under a privacy or site-data heading. Most browsers allow you to block cookies entirely, block third-party cookies only, or delete the ones already stored. Desktop and mobile browsers both expose the same choices, though the menu names differ between them.
Two practical notes matter here. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site, including the contact form, from working correctly. Blocking analytical cookies does not affect site functionality at all, so it is a safe first step if you want to reduce tracking without losing anything.
If you clear cookies later, any consent choice is cleared with them, and a fresh choice may be asked on your next visit.
Block everything
The strongest setting. Reading still works, but forms and settings that depend on a session may fail.
Block third-party only
Keeps the site's own essential cookies while stopping files from outside providers.
Delete stored cookies
Clears what is already there. Later visits start with a clean slate and a fresh consent step where required.
Consent
Where required by applicable law, we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies. The request appears before those files are placed, and it explains what the category does in plain language rather than a wall of terms.
You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal, which is the standard position for consent under data-protection law.
Get in touch about consentChanges to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable requirements, such as a new provider appearing in the analytical category or a browser change that affects how consent works.
The current version is always the one published on this page, and the summary panel near the top of the page states when the categories were last reviewed. Material changes will be reflected in the text rather than announced separately, so the wording here remains the single reference point for what the site does.
